Gifts come and go. About half of all gifts either wind up in the trash can or are never even used. But we’re not talking about flowers, or chocolate or even a diamond ring.
When was the last time you heard that special song that reminded you of that first kiss or your first love? Giving someone a CD of his or her favorite romantic music is one way to go. Music engages the emotions like no other stimulus, which is why it’s so necessary for setting a romantic mood.
But let’s take this whole concept to another level. Let’s say you got stuck for a few hours in an elevator with one of the greatest songwriters of all time, Lionel Richie. The next day is you and your girl’s anniversary and you don’t have a gift yet. So to kill time, Lionel says, “Let’s write a song for her!”
He says, “Well, hey, I wanted to show you my grand piano anyways. Let’s go!”
And the first line of the song begins, “You and I began as a simple melody. Through joy and pain we’ve grown into an endless symphony…” You realize that you’re so deeply in love and committed to your girl that you want to use this song to propose to her.
So the song continues, “And now the time has come for me to take your hand and say, ‘With this ring I thee wed’…”
30 minutes later, the song is completed. And Lionel is singing the melodies and lyrics to a song that is bring you joyously to tears.
Well, wake up to reality. Its not gonna happen at least not with Lionel Richie. With someone else, yes, it truly can. As a matter of fact, it has happened for others, successfully, many times.
An original song written by you can literally last a lifetime, if not forever. This is one of the best gifts you can give to your loved one, hands down.
